Most Important Needs expressed by members present:
* How to find qualified traffic? * Generating traffic to crochet site * How to use AdWords effectively? * A good podcast subscription for internet marketing * How to create an e-book fast? * How to set up a forum?
Hot Seat 1 – Mike Bradley
Mike showed us his UK guide for an engagement ring. His site starts with a name squeeze page which then leads to the sales letter, which has the following elements:
* Headline * Opening: From Mike Bradley .. * Connect with the reader * Establish credibility - why listen to me? * Power bullet points - interesting benefits, or questions without answers * Testimonials * 7 Justify the price - what's it worth? * Guarantee * Bonuses * Call to action * PS * Main ordering box * FAQ
Hot Seat 2 – Guy Henry Atkinson
Guy proposed an e-book focused at people in the UK selling on the internet, particularly those who are selling to a UK-only market. It could be included as a bonus when selling business opportunity products to the UK. The information would include
* Which merchant accounts are best, * Where to get good US $ accounts for receiving click bank cheques (Citybank, HSBC), * Affiliate schemes which pay into UK accounts, * Tips and companies for .co.uk domain names, to help SEO for UK-specific searches * Pointers to relevant details on VAT and IR websites, both informing the reader and saving their time searching. * Cheap international phone calls (1p/min without setting up an account): http://www.niftylist.co.uk * http://www.timeanddate.com for time zones, http://xe.com for currency rates * Good UK business support websites and books. * Netfusion is a good website/html editor; it can often be found on cover discs of UK internet magazines
Many suggestions were given including:
* Specific answers & tips, * Paul Fuggle's own-branded 1shoppingcart http://www.totalbusinesscart.com specifically for UK users * UK drop shippers & fulfillment houses * Becoming clearer who would need this information and where to find them, * Starting a blog giving this information.
Misc
Bruce Bird described what he had learnt in a seminar given by Stephen Pierce in the USA. This included traffic generation techniques using say 12 different AdSense websites feeding traffic to the main site. Each o the satellite sites is optimised for SEO for 100 keywords, and kept fresh with RSS and article feeds. Have 2 blogs: one with your own content, one fed from other blogs via RSS. All these sites then feed traffic to the main site.
http://deletedDomains.com and http://expireddomainsleuth.com/ have old domains which still get traffic.
